玉堂清玩是严嵩之子严东楼的字号，“玉堂清玩”铜器是严氏之炉。赵汝珍说，严氏之炉皆系劫取宣炉之无款者，充为己有，非其所制。 “玉堂清玩”铜器较为珍贵。此香炉造型独特，工艺设计非常古老，民间极为少见，成旧感非常明显，皮壳包浆自然，特别具有收藏价值，是收藏家不可多得的一件佳品。
