金库自诞生起，即以其复杂的工艺及严格的管理规程，营造出皇权至尊、君临一切的气势。帝像金库尤为珍贵，历史兴替，皇权退隐，御窑金库流入民间，与文人及大众的生活产生日益紧密的关联。在上世纪30年代很多大清金库是清朝中晚期皇宫专用的一种钱币，民间几乎是看不到的。大清金库分为很多种类，有金砖，金条等等！金库表面上一般会刻有当代皇帝的图像，上面写上上赤足的字体，有的还刻有其制造的年代等。能流传至今，保存完好的都是珍品，此件大清金库，重：488.3g直径：3.93cm皆为方体形状，尺寸规整，侧体光滑，为磨具压制而成，一块正面刻有光绪帝上身人像，上方左右铭“上上赤足”四字，另一块则分两列竖写“大清金库，光绪三年”，文字清秀俊美，字迹规整，铸造老旧，包浆自然，品相完好，形制规整，色泽纯正，清代遗留下来的此类金库存世量不多，是不可多得的珍品，它是皇宫专用，不做市场流通清代遗留下来的此类金砖存世量有限，市场收藏价值极高。
